AEAP does?♦ Provides a public face to all enterprise architects.♦ Are primarily advocacy focused as opposed to membership focused♦ Provides free membership for all individuals who have an interest in enterprise architecture.♦ Accredits enterprise architecture professional standards which extends its accreditingmodel to include university courses and programs.
♦ Educates and enforces ethics for all enterprise architects.♦ Recognizes enterprise architects who have gained professional status.♦ Recognizes all legitimate enterprise architecture organizations.CAEAP will be the EA profession owner for society
and advocate on behalf of its stakeholders
What CAEAP does not do?♦ Develop or endorse frameworks♦ Advocate for only select sectors of enterprise architects.♦ Are membership not advocacy based (it is a conflict of interest to be both even when itcomes to filing corporate status).
♦ Are enterprise architect facing and not public facing.♦ Use membership fees as a barrier to entry and participation.♦ Have proprietary certification programs that are specific to their organization.♦ Has non-enforceable ethics (if they have ethics at all).♦ Does not education enterprise architects on ethics.♦ Does not accredit university programs independent of membership in their organization.Positioning CAEAP amongst other organizations:
♦ We represent other industries.♦ We welcome members from other organizations.♦ We welcome other organizations.♦ We recognize all certifications, standards, and content that pushes forward enterprisearchitecture without prejudice.
♦ We are not competitors.♦ We do not dilute the memberships of other organizations.♦ Being a part of CAEAP increases the value of other organizations that may decide toremain as membership facing organization.
