AEAP does?

Provides a public face to all enterprise architects.

Are primarily advocacy focused as opposed to membership focused

Provides free membership for all individuals who have an interest in enterprise architecture.

Accredits enterprise architecture professional standards which extends its accrediting

model to include university courses and programs.

Educates and enforces ethics for all enterprise architects.

Recognizes enterprise architects who have gained professional status.

Recognizes all legitimate enterprise architecture organizations.

CAEAP will be the EA profession owner for society

and advocate on behalf of its stakeholders

What CAEAP does not do?

Develop or endorse frameworks

Advocate for only select sectors of enterprise architects.

Are membership not advocacy based (it is a conflict of interest to be both even when it

comes to filing corporate status).

Are enterprise architect facing and not public facing.

Use membership fees as a barrier to entry and participation.

Have proprietary certification programs that are specific to their organization.

Has non-enforceable ethics (if they have ethics at all).

Does not education enterprise architects on ethics.

Does not accredit university programs independent of membership in their organization.

Positioning CAEAP amongst other organizations:

We represent other industries.

We welcome members from other organizations.

We welcome other organizations.

We recognize all certifications, standards, and content that pushes forward enterprise

architecture without prejudice.

We are not competitors.

We do not dilute the memberships of other organizations.

Being a part of CAEAP increases the value of other organizations that may decide to

remain as membership facing organization.
